![]() Group Homes | Apartment Clusters | Apartment Living | Life Sharing Program Supported/Community Programs | Respite Care
Group Homes:Individuals live together in a family setting with staff supervision up to 24 hours a day. Staff teach daily living skills to individuals to help them become more independent. Activities include: meal preparation, laundry, shopping, cleaning, etc. A group home may also be the ideal setting for an older adult with developmental disabilities who is no longer able to live a fully independent life. Apartment Clusters: CPARC manages apartment buildings for adults with developmental disabilities. Staff are present in these buildings, providing daily support and assistance in life skills areas as necessary. Apartment Living: CPARC staff provide minimal support as needed to individuals who live in their own apartments in the community. These individuals have demonstrated the necessary skills to live independently with limited support from staff. Life Sharing Program: CPARC provides support to individuals placed with host families in the community. CPARC assists in matching both children and adults with developmental disabilities with families who provide them with a positive family/life experience. CPARC provides training and support to both the host family and the individual receiving the service. Supported/Community Living Programs: Individuals participating in the supported or community living programs are able to remain in their current residence (private home, nursing home, etc.). The staff provide support and services as necessary, to ensure continued independence and to allow individuals to enjoy life in their community. Respite Care: Respite care is ideal for individuals with developmental disabilities living with their families. This service provides temporary placement in case of emergencies, or to give caregivers an opportunity to take a break from daily care. RETURN TO TOP |
