WAYS TO GIVE
|
When you make a gift to CPARC you have many options for making your gift, and you have flexibility in determining where your funds will be used.
Types of Gifts
We gladly accept gifts of cash, check, or credit card. We also accept gifts of stock, matching donations and in-kind donations.
Please visit the planned giving page to learn more about the types of planned gifts we accept.
Annual Appeal: Contributions to the annual appeal provide direct support to CPARC’s Advocacy Program. Services are offered at no cost to families in need from Cumberland & Perry Counties. Pledges can be paid annually, quarterly, monthly, bank draft, or payroll deduction.
Gifts of Stock: Gifts of stock and securities provide considerable tax advantages when transferred to CPARC before they are sold. If you have held your securities for more than one year, you may find that your gift will provide a twofold tax benefit, creating an income-tax deduction as well as helping avoid the capital-gains tax that would have been due on their sale. Please contact the Development office for brokerage firm information.
Sponsorships: Sponsorships are available for the many special events held throughout the year. Contact the PR / Development office to discuss how we can tailor a package to fit your company’s needs and objectives.
Endowment Fund: Endowment gifts create a lasting legacy. You may make a permanently restricted gift to CPARC’s endowment fund. Help ensure that The Arc will be there for the next generation of families that need us.
Program Directed: You may direct your gift to a particular program of interest within CPARC. Programs include: Advocacy, Early Education Center of Perry County, Family Education, Life Time Adult Day Care, Neighbors Program, Residential Services, and the S. Wilson Pollock Center for Industrial Training.
Matching Gifts: Many employer, company, or individual will match donations. These matches are often dollar for dollar, which doubles your charitable-donation power and is a great way for you to maximize your personal contributions to CPARC.
Memorial donations: Memorial donations are a positive way to celebrate the life of a loved one, while supporting CPARC. CPARC is proud to honor the memory of your loved ones through our important work helping further the human and civil rights of everyone impacted by intellectual disabilities.
In Honor of: You may make a contribution in honor of a friend or loved or to commemorate a special occasion such as a birthday, anniversary, wedding, graduation, etc… CPARC will send a personalized letter to the person or family notifying them of your thoughtful donation.
In-Kind Donations: At different times throughout the year, CPARC is in need of gently used office equipment and common household items. Examples of items include: step ladders, dining room table and chairs, refrigerator, book shelves, filing cabinets, desks, etc…

We, at CPARC, thank all of you for your generosity! Here's a look at how donations like yours help. . .

Chris was having difficulty functioning successfully in the classroom and was refusing to attend school before CPARC’s Advocates began working with him. With CPARC’s help, Chris successfully fulfilled his IEP requirements and is now a high school graduate.
Our Special Education Advocate helped redirect Chris’ team to focus on his specific needs and a new educational plan was developed. Chris began working full-time, and he completed his academic school work independently, while meeting with his teacher a few times a week.
To assure confidentiality to our clients, names have been changed.
